“We envision a community in which every girl and woman has the resiliency necessary to advance her own life and the lives of others.”

Since 2012, Gamma Phi Beta has partnered with Girls on the Run to further our Philanthropic Focus of Building Strong Girls.

During this time, Gamma Phi Beta has raised over $960,000 for Building Strong Girls, $4 Million nationally for Girls on the Run, and left an immeasurable impact on thousands of girls all over the country.

What is Girls on the Run?

Girls on the Run® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. During the academic year, each team meets twice a week for the 8 weeks leading up to the final celebratory 5K. At these meetings, coaches teach GOTR’s researched-based curriculum that is focused on building critical life skills and a strong sense of self confidence within each girl while also promoting physical activity.

Our chapter of Gamma Phi Beta partners with GOTR of Central Kentucky to help Build Strong Girls in our local community!

Our Work with GOTRCKY

Our chapter supports Girls on the Run of Central Kentucky in many different ways! One way we support GOTRCKY is by having our members volunteer to be coaches and running buddies. Through this, our members are working with the girls hands-on and we get to see the direct impact we have on our local community. The main way that our chapter supports GOTRCKY is through our annual philanthropic events, Gamma Pie Beta and Moonball. In the past, we have also held events like Strut for Strong Girls and Confidence Camp where we’ve gotten the opportunity to further help these girls find their own self confidence face-to-face!
