To Inspire the Highest Type of Womanhood
For the last 151 years, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority has strived to shape young collegiate women into confident women of character that make a difference in the world around us. Our organization was founded upon a rock on November 11th, 1874 on the values of Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty, and was the first women’s organization to be deemed a Sorority. Today, we as collegiate women aim to exemplify these four values set forth for us by our founders, Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis and Mary A. Bingham, in attempt to inspire the highest type of womenhood.
The Gamma Omicron Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was welcomed back to the University of Kentucky on November 17th, 2019 and has been an active part of the Kentucky Panhellenic community ever since. During the academic year, we hold two Philanthropy events, Gamma Pie Beta and Moonball, to raise money for our local Girls on the Run of Central Kentucky chapters.
