A letter from our Vice President of Membership

Dear Potential New Members,

I am so excited that you made the decision to continue your education at the University of Kentucky!! I remember being a freshman and being so excited about the next four years. I can’t wait to see y’all walk through our pink doors in the fall!! Everyone at Gamma Phi Beta cannot wait to meet all of you during primary recruitment!!

Once upon a time I was a freshman just like you trying to decide if joining the Panhellenic community was right for me. I can 100% say that deciding to go through with my decision to join a sorority was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I am an out of state student, so coming here I knew no one. I can say now that through Gamma Phi Beta I have met some of my best friends and future bridesmaids! In this sisterhood, I have truly been able to be my true and constant self!! Everyone in Gamma Phi has helped me become the leader I am today and I am so beyond grateful.

This is such a fun and exciting process to be a part of and I am confident that all of you will find your home within the panhellenic community. Being a part of this community is like nothing else and I can’t wait for all of you to be part of it. The recruitment process can be stressful and tiring at times, but I promise you it is worth it. The women you meet during this time could be your future sisters, roommates, and even bridesmaids. My advice to you is to trust the process, and it is built to make sure you find your forever home. Running home on bid-day makes the whole process so worth it!!

We are thrilled to show all of you how we work to exceed our values of love, labor, learning, loyalty!! As well as our philanthropy of how we work to build strong girls with our partnership with Girls on the Run. I hope all of you have an amazing summer and have the best time finding your forever home!!

With Love,

Elizabeth Holdridge
